There was a safety recall announced by the manufacuturer in Q4 2013 M46 / NHTSA 13V-252. I contacted the Jeep dealer gator automotive group on April 7, 2014 to check on the status of the recall and to make an appointment for the repair. I did not do so previously as the announcement stated that they would contact us. No appointment or parts were available at that time and the dealer representative hung up the phone on me. Next I called the manufacturer and got the same response that they had no parts and I had to wait for them to contact me. It is now July 29, 2014 and I have never heard back from neither the dealer nor the manufacturer. This is unacceptable to me as this is a safety recall. Can somebody please provide me with an update on this recall or contact the manufacturer about this. The issue is an exploding gas tank. Thank you.
