I am original owner of Jeep Libery and take very good care of it. When I was having the recall trailer hitch put on and inspection they mentioned I would sometime in future think about replacing all the suspension things. Ball joints, arms etc. but as long as I don't mind the squeaking no problem. Well yesterday11/30 the squeaking started to get so bad I could hear it with the radio on. It makes a terrible noise turning steering wheel and when getting and out of front seat.

I called Jeep today after noticing about the 2006 recall but was told my vin was not included. I have a feeling this is like the power window issue with relay. It took them couple years and me replacing the relay 8 times 2 each window before they admitted it was a problem on their end. This seem much more of a serious issue than a window falling down sitting still in driveway. I'm not sure what to do after reading about the danger on this site I'm afraid to drive it. It's $1500 to be fixed at Jeep Dealer here in Daytona Beach. Also never have I driven my Jeep on the beach. At least if I am hurt in a accident I have documented it on this site.

I had taken my Jeep in for a lube job and they told me that it would be $1400.00 to repair the lower ball joints and arms. These crooks never mentioned to me that there was a recall on these parts for my 2006 Jeep Liberty. As a matter of fact the Jeep dealer who sold me the vehicle never mentioned it to me either.

Also, they told me that I would also have to replace the upper ball joints and arms. I never liked this Jeep dealer so I went to a new one referred to me from Daimler Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep dealer. At Suncoast Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep they explained to me that the parts for that "repeat recall" were not available . I had to call Daimler again to have them order the lower ball joints and arms which they did.

Funny that the new place had the upper ball joints and arms in stock and would cost me $1036.83 and they could repair them right away! Well, I made them wait until they came through with the free "repeat recalled"" ones first. I really think that the upper ones should have been on recall, also. In fact I asked the girl at Daimler if she would please bring it before the board to make a recall for the upper ball joints and arms. After all ,I only had 35,869 miles on the Jeep at that time, in April of 2014.

So I think Daimler owes me the money that I paid to have the upper ball joints and arms replaced. I am very dissatisfied with Jeep products and the way that the dealers treat me.
