Clutch safety switch on 2006 Jeep Liberty (3.7 L gas engine) failed after 40 K. ironically, this requires replacement of the entire master cylinder (cost $375). Would ignore problem, but this also deactivates the cruise control. Silly design in that a simple switch failure requires hydraulic system work.
