Drivers side passenger window crashed from closed position and suddenly fell into the framework and had become unretrievable, I finally used plyers to pull the window out manually and have it taped into placed with packing tape. The passenger in the car at the time was terrified when it happened going 65 mikes per hour on the freeway, that she spilled boiling hot coffee all over her self, causing her bodily injury, and staining all over the back seat area of the car, and destroying her clothing, while losing her coat out the window with the at the time it failed,

I would expect the windows to work on a vehicle I purchase, and I would expect the manufacturer to stand behind their product and fix it!!!!!! This is nothing but bad engineering and sh*tty customer service!!!!!!

3 windows within days of one another - this is simply unacceptable. I called the dealer, and they told me there was an extended warranty on them, but that would have expired based on the age of the car and the mileage in November 2013... and it wouldn't have mattered anyway, they were only fixing them if they had already failed. So they pretty much told me pay them $1635.74 to fix THEIR defective product or live with it.

How sad - one of the few American car manufacturers left is not backing their product, nor the consumers that have invested in them.

In August 2014 the back passenger window fell into the door. Couple months later the back driver's window fell into the door. On January 3, 2015, the driver's window fell into the door. I just don't have the money to have them all fixed at once. Help!!!!!!!!! Any suggestions.

I have had my window regulator repaired 7 Times!! In 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011. All windows have been repaired 2x each with exception of the front passenger window and guess what? Yes, that one failed a second time yesterday. And of course I was not at home, it was raining and I had to drive 40 minutes on the expressway with the window open.

Took the car to the dealership and found out this extended warranty on the windows ended in March of 2014. I am in the process of fighting with Chrysler. I'm sorry, but there should not be a time limit on this issue. They acknowledged the parts were faulty. I should not still be dealing with this issue. And I'm worried the repairs made in 2010 were also with the same faulty parts and I'm going to continue to have issues!!!

Driver's side, rear seat window. This was the second window to fall into the door. Six months later, all 4 windows have now fallen into the doors. Two happened while I was driving 75MPH down the highway and could not stop. The cost to fix each window is $450-each!! Apparently a very common problem with this year and model. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to pop the door off and use a zip tie to keep the window up. I'm worried that this is a safety concern now. None of my windows roll down! What is Jeep doing about this obvious defect?

Jeep recall #X27 was for 84 months and unlimited mileage has expired. I've had all windows' lift plates etc. repaired numerous times. I called to get this window repaired and was told it's not covered and the recall is expired. I refuse to keep paying for the problem that is obviously a Jeep Liberty power window problem.

I called GMC and was told by them that I had to pay if I wanted it fixed. How stupid is GMC? It is obvious that this problem with the windows cannot be repaired permanently so they only give a recall for a certain time and then it's too bad, you gotta pay for their poor design on the power windows.

All 4 widows have done this since I bought it in 2007. Now its happening again!! Why can't Jeep fix this problem or recall the cars!!! It seems to be a common reoccurring problem!! It's frustrating as friggin hell!! I love my Jeep but my god, they know NOTHING ABOUT WINDOWS!

As I previously have stated, both passenger windows breaking 2 weeks apart with the same issue, is seriously ridiculous. Then be told by Jeep customer service my vehicle has no recall on it. Clearly there are issues with these windows and JEEP has admitted to it but now won't stand behind it and fix it??

I HAVE A 2007 JEEP LIBERTY WITH 32000 MILES ON IT. THE BACK WINDOW LIFT PLATES HAVE FAILED AT LEAST 5 DIFFERENT TIMES IN 6 YRS. THE WINDOWS FALL INTO THE DOOR AND IF YOU PRESS THE WINDOW BUTTONS TO BRING IT UP A COIL COMES OUT OF DOOR AND THEN THE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE. I HAVE RECEIVED THE LETTER ABOUT THE 7 YR EXTENED WARRANTY ON THESE WINDOWS. THE REPAIR SHOP IS 40 MILES AWAY WHICH SOMETIMES MAKES IT HARD TO GET THERE AND I'VE ALSO HAD TO WAIT FOR PARTS OR BECAUSE THEY ARE BUSY. IT HAPPENED ONE TIME ON THE FREEWAY WITH TWO DOGS IN THE BACK AND A WINDOW THAT WAS COMPLETELY DOWN. I HATE TO THINK WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF ONE OR BOTH HAD DECIDED TO JUMP. I AM TOLD THAT THIS PROBLEM CAN NOT BE PERMANENTLY FIXED. I AM CONSIDERING HAVING THE BACK WINDOWS DISCONNECTED SO THAT THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO BE OPENED, IF POSSIBLE. I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN AND THIS IS A REAL INCONVENIENCE FOR ME.
