I have a 2011 Jeep Liberty Limited with a sky slider roof (4-5 feet long) that doesn't seal properly allowing air to seep where it should seal thus producing a rushing-air sound so load I can't hear the radio or carry on a normal conversation. This occurs at about 55 MPH and higher getting louder the faster I go.
The only fix I know is to remove and replace the whole roof; a very expensive option. I put an airfoil at the leading edge hoping that would help. Unfortunately it didn't correct the problem.
I don't know of any recalls to correct this problem, nor have I heard of any successful solutions.
This seems to be a design flaw though the customer service rep would not admit as much. The local dealer says he has heard of this complaint several times. Trying to get hold of someone farther up the line with Chrysler Jeep is really frustrating.
