CarComplaints.com Notes: On August 16th, 2012 Jeep stopped production of the the Jeep Liberty, marking the end of a troublesome journey for the SUV.

All in all, the 2012 Liberty actually excels off-road, but since 99% of drivers never take this thing off pavement, that becomes somewhat of a moot point. The Liberty suffers from the worst fuel economy in its class (16/22 MPG) and offers an uncomfortable ride with suspect braking ability.

Driver side blows cold air and passenger side blows hot air. The car is in the Chysler Jeep dealer for repair. The jeep mechanic informed me that a new heating core was a for sure fix at $850.00. The mechanic also stated He could flush out the heating core for $350.00 but not a guarantee fix. I chose the flush for $350.00 and waiting to see if that works. My brother had the same problem with his 2012 jeep liberty with 20k miles. I know this will be a recall in about 5 years, but what good does that do me now. I will definitely write a complaint to the State Attorney Generals Office. Chrysler Jeep is a rip off........

Luke warm heat on left side, cool air on right side with heater on high. Takes over 20 minutes just to get a small spot started to defrost on windshield. If the outside temp is below 40 degrees you freeze your ass off. Mechanic says the dash will have to be removed to diagnose heater problem. Instructed to take to Chrysler/Jeep dealership to have problem checked. Most likely looking at in excess of $1000 just to have dash removed and replaced. Bought this vehicle new in April 2013. Have not had it 2 full years yet and still making a $600 a month payment for the next 3.

This is a dealer conversion to right hand drive for mail delivery.
