DO NOT BUY JEEP!!!!

I have never had to take a vehicle into a dealership as much as this hunk of moving garbage heap. So last time I had my 2014 Jeep Patriot there which by the way only has about 61,000 miles on it, and has never been off road, just a daily driver. This Patriot has a whole host of problems I would not expect from a vehicle unless it had more than 150,000 miles on it. So I described the noises that we were hearing from the front and back of the vehicle and here is the list of problems they discovered with the bucket of rusting bolts otherwise known as a 2014 Jeep Patriot.

* Stuttering problem when going slightly uphill at about 1500 RPM Replace Spark Plugs @159.95 (I declined, under $10 in parts and about 15 minutes did it myself).

* Lots of noise coming from the front end including power steering pump audilbe whine that started a few months back... Replace Steering Pump @ $405 (Declined because I can't really afford it right now, and it is the lesser of the concerns at the moment)

* Clunking / Grinding noise from front end No Grease in Boot / Ripped Replaced under warranty (Woohoo at least the warranty covered something)

* Clunking / Grinding noise from front end Replace front Rotors @ $377 (Declined replaced the front rotors and brake pads for under $120 myself in under an hours time. (In the past I have been able to feel the rotors pulsing in the brake pedal so maybe the newer cars don't provide as much feedback.

* Clunking / Grinding noise from front end Replace front Sway bar @ $258 (Declined because I can't afford it at the moment and will likely end up doing the work myself.

And finally the item that really has been causing most of the noise was the front wheel bearings Replacement cost ended being $861.73 Not covered under warranty!!!! I have a Honda Civic which is 6 years older, and has OVER 120,000 miles on it, and is still as quiet as a church mouse.

Oh and they never bothered with the rear noise. Which is why it is back in the shop yet again, and getting the rear wheel bearings replaced as I am writing this complaint.

Had it in suspecting a wheel bearing, dealer said it was alright while under warranty. Bearing went out a little less than 1,000 miles out of factory warranty. Had an extended warranty, but cost me $200 to analyze it. Made no brownie points here!
