ON JUN 1 2022, MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON, THEN THE BRAKES CAME ON WITHOUT ME APPLYING THEM SEVERAL TIMES, I CALLED THE DEALER SAWYER MOTORS, AND THE SERVICE MANAGER. SAID THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE WITH THIS MODEL TO OTHER CUSTOMERS. I AM A CERTIFIED MECHANIC ALSO SO I PULLED THE FUSES FOR THE ABS SYSTEM SO THE BRAKES WILL NOT COME ON WITHOUT ME APPLYING THEM. THAT STOPPED THE PROBLEM BUT NOW I HAVE NO CRUIZE CONTROL, SPEEDOMETER, OR BACK UP LIGHTS. I CHECKED THE REAR RIGHT WHEEL BEARING HUB AND THE SPEED SENSOR HAD COME OUT OF A WEAK POORLY DESIGNED THIN HOLDING CLAMP ON THE REAR WHEEL HUB. MOST CARS HAVE A MORE SECURE WAY OF HOLDING THIS SENSOR TO THE REAR HUB NOT A THIN SHEET METAL CLIP WHICH RUSTS Away and the sensor just falls out....! causing all these problems and the safety issue.. NOW THE WhOLE HUB HAS TO BE REPLACED AT SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS COST.

The speed sensors in the rear wheel hubs are held on with a thin wire clip. This rusts away very quickly and the sensor falls out. Then the brakes can be applied without the driver touching the brakes. This is very dangerous and almost caused an accident in my car and the dealer says there is no recall yet, but there should be..!

I bought my 2015 Jeep Patriot on July 4, 2020. Every since I've had my truck, there has been problems. I have taken my truck to 4 mechanics and they can't seem to find a problem. Also the dealership that I got the truck from has not even tried to contact me back about them fixing it for me. I'm stuck with a vehicle that doesn't work at this point.

Statrting on 23. May, 2018 my vehicle started randomly dying while driving. This is a complete loss of propulsion, the rpms drop to zero and the car completely stops running. The only way to get the vehicle moving again when it does start is to completely stop, place the vehicle in park and start the vehicle again. The vehicle has no preference or indication of when it is going to do this, so far it has died while pulling into traffic, driving down the freeway at 60 miles an hour, turning into a parking stall in a busy mall parking, while climbing hills and while going down hills. This information was given to fca along with the mileage which is roughly 37800 miles. I have been directed to pay out of my own pocket for diagnostics for this vehicle even though you may search Jeep Patriot forums.com off of Chrysler website and you can find a list of similar complaints dating back as far as 2010 when Chrysler recalled nearly half a million vehicles for a very similar issue

Since I purchased the car in 2016 the brakes keep making this loud sound and I have take to the dealer twice who told me nothing was wrong with it. So then I decided to take it to another shop who then told me it was my front and back brackes and rotors but car is not that old. So I went ahead and just paid to replace it to be safe and two days after this work was done it gave me the same sound and now they are tell me this is how it is supposed to sound. I have heard other Jeep just like mine make that same noise so I wonder if this is a issue with all the 2015 Jeep Patriots. It happens when I's trying to stop the car then it gives me that sound and sometimes when I'm driving I still can here the squealing sound. I know this is not normal at all.

My car is 2 years old and my brake pads have been replaced three times in addition to new getting new rotors. Problems started occurring when I only had my car for 6 months and whenever I brake, it sounds like metal grinding on metal. Neither my dealership nor Jeep themselves have a reasonable explanation for this problem. It is completely unacceptable for a brand new car. In addition, my car has also had problems starting. Within the last two weeks, I have had two instances of trying to turn my car on and the battery came on, but the car did not make any attempt to turn-over. It took multiple attempts to actually get it started. Before now, my car has had a few instances where it takes a while for it to turn over, which it eventually did come on, but it was struggling and I could tell it was very weak.

My brakes make a loud sound when I'm making a stop. I have a full warranty on my brakes and took it back to the dealer twice. What I was advised is that sound is normal and that all Jeep Patriots makes that sound. Well I have not heard that sound from another Jeep but not sure if there is a defect.

On about January 15, 2015, less than 2 months after purchase and with less than 1500 miles, this vehicle accelerated out of control & I was unable to get it to respond by braking. The vehicle was brought to burdick Chrysler Jeep in cicero, NY where it was purchased & they were unable to properly diagnose/repair the vehicle & said there was nothing wrong with it.while traveling on Feb 5 I experienced an issue with the cruise control not 'staying' where it was set- continuing to accelerate, then instead about 1/2 way to our destination, I started to experience random issues such as attempting to accelerate and the vehicle behaving as if it was in neutral. I located the Jeep dealer closest to my destination, safford Chrysler Jeep in va, & dropped the vehicle off. Safford had the vehicle the entire day of Friday, 2/06/15, & was unable to properly diagnose/repair the vehicle- saying they could not find anything wrong with it. Upon releasing the vehicle back to us, having driven only approx.10 miles, my cousin had near-death experience in heavy traffic, the vehicle began again accelerating out of control & would not respond to normal braking while my cousin was driving. We contacted Jeep customer care by phone to report these issues the evening of Friday, 2/06. The Jeep is currently at safford Chrysler Jeep in springfield, va, having been towed there on Saturday, 2/07. We were told by safford that they found an error message of some sort indicating the gas and brake were engaged at the same time, which is in keeping with our report of the vehicle accelerating on it's own and not responding to braking, but they were unable to diagnose or repair the problem that day or the following day prior to our departure from Virginia.there has been a serious lack of response from to burdick Chrysler Jeep in cicero, NY, safford Chrysler Jeep in springfield, va, &Jeep customer care.
