I am so angry that my clutch went out at 43,000 miles! I havent even had to change my brake pads yet. It gave no indication that it was going up. No grinding, no slipping, no popping out or anything at all. Left me stranded on the side of the road with my 2 grandchildren. I havent even had this vehicle for a year and bought it new with 80 miles on it in 2016. I thought I had a reliable vehicle and never in a million years thought I would be replacing the clutch at 43,000 miles!! This is ridiculous and it isnt covered under warrant due to being a wear and tear problem..I dont buy that!! Something mechanically had to fail for this to happen. I have owned manual transmissions many times and never have I had this problem. It is bullshit that I am paying for a vehicle for 6 years and am replacing a clutch with this low of miles. I am so pissed and so frustrated with Jeep right now that I will never buy another one. I have considered instead of paying the cost to repair just letting the bank have it. I mean what if I have to replace the clutch every 40,000 miles. This is my first brand new vehicle and I really thought that I had a reliable means of transportation for awhile. I cannot even express my level of anger and disappointment with Jeep right now. I come from a family of Jeep owners and my last Jeep was a 1996 Cherokee and I didnt have the problems with that as I do a brand new vehicle. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!
