I experience extreme shaking of the steering wheel when traveling in the freeway and hitting a small imperfection on the road causing the care to shake and the steering wheel to vibrate violently to the point i have slow down abruptly from 70MPH to under 50MPH. Took the Jeep to have it check after a day the dealer was not able to reproduce the issue, advised them of the speed that it happens at and are not willing to work on it. They are asking me to pick the car up. No warning prior to issue happening, you can be driving smoothly down the road up to 80MPH once the imperfection in the road is hit the car starts vibrating/shaking.

My husband and I have had 4 incidents of shaking of this vehicle after turning slightly when hitting a bump in the road whether traveling 45 or 65 miles per hour. Initially when leased had some steering issues which we attributed to tire pressure. 1st incident occurred 11/20 sent to garage and had a steering adjustment due to recall. In March of this year two other incidents. Complaints have been sent to the company, a case manager assigned. Currently in the garage, the diagnostic was negative and the car had to be broken down and a new stabilizer applied. Did not work according to tech, shaking was worse. I am waiting to hear from cm no verbal contact at all. The car is unsafe. I am not sure if anyone has reported however on line reports on electronic media are numerous. I feel it needs to be investigated due to the last incident on a 4 lane road passing a truck was scary. I do think death should be a reason and I think it is sad to have to contact an attorney to drive safety. Let me know if you need further details.

a safety issue that has been termed the Jeep "death wobble" has occurred numerous times over the past 6 months. When a bump or pothole is confronted, there is a violent shaking of the steering wheel and front end and it takes anywhere from 5-15 seconds to resume control of the vehicle. This usually occurs at a speed of 55-65 miles per hour. control of the vehicle is virtually impossible when this occurs and only resumes stability when speed of the vehicle declines. Three repairs have been attempted to correct the issue, with genuine Chrysler parts used, but to no avail. This safety issue and dangerous condition has been documented with Chrysler since 2010 and there are 2 class action lawsuits still in place vs. Chrysler, the most recent being one regarding 2018-2020 jeep wranglers, filed in California.

On 4 occassions two while being towed behind our RV the Jeep started jumping violently. Looked on the camera and felt like we were driving over big boulders but there were none. Thankfully we were going slow enough to stop without having an accident. On all four times it did not come back when we were going again. We are terrified of driving it and more so of towing it. Dealer found nothing wrong... We don't understand.

My vehicle is not subject to the same recall as other Jeep but has the same steering vibration dampener defect. After hitting a bridge seam across the highway or a pothole the wheel and steering column shake uncontrollably forcing me to slow and attempt to get off the highway.

2020 jl Wrangler unlimited. Stock Wrangler without modifications with less than 1K miles, in shop 3 times for same issue. The Jeep has excessive steering over 3 inches of play in steering wheel before tires move. The steering also wanders all over the lane and extremely difficult to keep in lane with hands at 10 and 2 on steering wheel. My Jeep also has a steering box that separates from frame when turning wheel. There is an aftermarket company who claims to have fixed the box separation issue. They have sold thousands of units and have thousands on backorder. You have to ask why is this such a niche fix for glaring factory issue. My steering box was replaced and fox 2.0 steering stabilizer was tried and failed to fix. The dealers are helpless not hopeless. The dealers know its an issue and want to fix and Jeep is aware of issue based on number of complaints on this site as well as internet forums. I think the issue is Jeep knows it's a real problem and clueless on how to address without massive recall. Hello class action attorneys. We need you!! the NHTSA has limited muscle to handle issues with fca. This needs litigation before someone dies.

I am unable to maintain my lane at all while driving this vehicle. It can be concerning to drive like this especially on the interstate. If you get to close to the edge of the road on non interstate roads it will pull you straight off the road.

I purchased this new 2020 Jeep in December 2019; the Jeep now has about 800 miles on it. When driving the vehicle at any speed the Jeep will dart to the left into on-comming traffic with no warning and for no appearant reason. The faster the speed the more radical the swerve into traffic the incident. I have not been in accident but had lights flashed, numerous hand signals and horns blown at me in the Jeep for reckless driving. The dealership - cecil Jeep of burnet Texas has verified the problem and is troubleshooting potential issues with a factory engineer. Software and damper upgrades have been confirmed properly done and up to date.

2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited rubicon. The driver side control arm bracket on my front axle is not welded on one side. The weld missed the bracket all together. There is a recall for some 2020S, but mine is not listed. Jeep told me since mine is not listed, there is nothing they can do. Also even if it was impacted, there is no fix yet. My front axle could come loose at any time due to missing weld causing a loss of control. This is a serious safety concern and they will not do anything about it.

While driving at speeds between 35 and 65 mph, the vehicle will wander from left to right causing the driver to constantly correct the vehicle to stay within the lane. The vehicle will also pull to the left or right when applying the brakes. Once I swerved half a lanes width under heavy braking. The vehicle has 3100 miles on it. At all times regardless of the road condition this behavior exist and the internet is full of complaints. This is a major safety issue, not a performance issue. Please watch this video as he does a great job describing the issues surrounding the safety of this product. Https://www.youtube.com/watch?V=gzes1_cj99S I believe if something does not happen immediately there will be accidents. I had to fight with Jeep to get a rental for three days. This is not a tire pressure issue or simple alignment issue and that's how the dealers are trying to fix this issue, with band-aids I ask for you to read and take this message very serious as I am concerned for anyone with this vehicle and these handling problems. It is a know issue and Jeep continues to put people in these cars. The Jeep are still being sold without a proper confirmation that they are safe. I know, because I have one....

New 2020 Wrangler unlimited rubicon just a week old. Been into dealer 3 of those 7 days for the following: 1.) significant pull to the right on flat surface streets or highways regardless of speed. Alignment was done and in specs, yet the problem exists. Rotated tires back to back and side to side..no fix. Constant correction required every few seconds making it not just a safety issue, but also an exhausting driving experience. 2.) steering wheel is off centered about 5+ degrees to the right and wants to continuously go back to that position. Does not align straight. Can feel it resisting me wanting to go back off center to the right. There is play in the steering wheel, and you can see that it wants to stay off center all the time. 3.) steering wheel when making a left turn immediately comes back towards center to the right and feels like it resists when wanting to turn left; however, when making a right turn, there is no resistance and it does not comeback to center willingly as it should. Dealer does not know what to do at this point, and asked that I wait for a software update to come out in next 3-6 months. I do not find this to be an acceptable option. See also 11307713.
