Rear control arm weld broke drivers side. 18 year old lost control on interstate at 70 miles per hour. Was spinning around and avoiding hitting a steal fence, steal beam and wall. I have pictures of the broken weld. If no recall yet their needs to be before it kills someone!! Kathy Mitchell 8124614334

The rear suspension cross member on my Kia has cracked in two places. This item has been recalled on other Kia Sorento's. The NHTSA campaign ID is 16V480000. This is a factory defect but Kia says it only applies to a cetain number of VIN numbers. Kia needs to apply this recall to more VIN numbers, especially the parts that have cracked. As Kia says in its recall, this could cause a serious accident if the suspension gives out.

Thumping noise and sensation from rear axle/suspension area while accelerating from stop or lightly accelerating on local roads. I reviewed a previous recall for this year and while my VIN was not in the recalled list, the description of the issues sounds very similar. All of the vehicle mileage has been highway or local driving. Vehicle is being towed to my local Kia dealership, gateway Kia, 1425 easton road, warrington, pa 18976

On 3/21/19 I was driving through a ez pass toll plaza. I heard a very loud sound almost like an explosion coming from the front passenger side of the car. My car started to vibrate. I pulled to the side to check out the car. I thought my tire blew. There nothing wrong with the tires. There was nothing around or in the lane of the toll plaza. I could not identify the reason for the sound. I did smell an odd order in the car. I was able to drive the car without any further problem. A few weeks later I heard a squeaking sounds when driving. Recently I took the car to Kia and was accused of the car being in an accident. I explained to them the incident and stated that the car was never in an accident. I was advised by Kia to contact my insurance company to repair the issues.

The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sorento. While driving approximately 35 mph, the steering ability became very loose and the vehicle pulled to the right. Car rocks back and forth and makes quick movements from side to side. This happens from 50 mph up to 75-80 mph. This causes the car to be extremely hard to control. The contact took the vehicle to jim shorkey Kia (10785 perry hwy, wexford, pa 15090) where it was repaired for front alignment failures. Neither place wanted to address a steering issue, neither dealership checked the steering had new brake (front) replacement, alignment, tire balacnce, inspection and new tires. After $1,000 expense still resolving this problem. The failure recurred on April 15, 2019 and was currently back at the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 26,280. Consumer stated no suspension problem- could not determine the problem, it seems to be unclear. Repair and service personnel seem to think it is the tires or steering. There has been at least 7 complaints regarding steering problems.

Since I've bought the car motor was burning oil, mechanic said the motors where junk and since I have to change my oil once a month and it still continues to burn oil. My oil light has not worked since we bought it, I will add. Also sometimes my car stalls and doesn't want to start or is delayed. Now the check engine light come on and throws the code P0014. I have taken it in for 3 recalls already and now they won't fix anything since motor is over 60,000 miles but when we call ed before hand to get it fixed they said they needed so many consecutive oil changes and records before they did anything now it's not under warranty convienetiy. I will never own another Kia I have never had so many issues.

Defective lower balljoints caused a rough ride. Noticed 'clanking' sound from front wheels when parking vehicle. Sunroof malfunction caused the sunroof to not fully close and often times, remain open. Dealer initially claimed that dry track channels with debris was the main cause however, there is a defect with the manufacturing/design of the product.
