problem #2

Mar 012014

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

The Space Shuttle would hesitate on slow acceleration above 50 mph ''cut out" so to speak> Took it to the dealer from which I bought the piece of crap 4000 miles ago.($19,500 including drive train extended warranty $2800.00) Said it needed a tune up (Not covered) . OK. what does that involve? Spark plugs change all 8 of them. They usually break when changing. Usually? Take them out correctly. We do, they break, when they break it is $55 each to get them out. (Wonder if Lincoln has any design engineers that actually have a degree?). Bottom line $645.00 to replace 8 spark plugs. Now the Space Shuttle has the front suspension problem. Bounces like a basketball. Dealer wants $99.00 to tell me how much it will cost to fix. Wonder how much it will cost me to drive the damn thing through the plate glass window in the front of the dealership. This is Lincoln's answer to the Escalade, Not, The GMC Denali, not quite. However it does come close to competing with the PINTOGATOR. What a joke. FF. and that is not short for French Fry.

Navigator 4WD 5.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 84,000 miles

Same problem as on Ford Triton 5.4L v8. Design problem on plugs makes it a $330 job to change and then $110 each plug that the dealer breaks off. My dealer told me to look at the bright side, they only broke 4 of the 8. So $900 later I had new plugs.

Ford should really own up to this problem.
