After my 2011 Mazda 3 S 2.5L 6Spd Manual Hatchback was destroyed by a driver hitting me head on and close to killing me - I wanted another Mazda 3. Couldn't find one in the limited time I had to get a new car. Did end up finding a 2010 Mazda3 I 2.0L 5Sp Manual Sedan. I noticed the sticky stuff - but though it was juice or something lol
Bought it anyway - found out the glue was coming up. Great!!! lol I just got the car in 2023 so the recall warranty was WAY long expired. After doing some research a came across this product Sticky Dash Fix. AWESOME!!!! It's Liquid Vinyl - you roll it / paint it on to the sticky dash and it dries. Color Match too. Life Saver! https://stickydashfix.com
So it really works, needs a few coats - depending on how bad your dash is. Will need to do it a few times. Cover the whole dash.
On the top dash above the console and radio - driver side to middle - mine was REALLY bad. Even the Stick Dash Fix couldn't help that. I went to Michaels Craft Store and bought Chalk Board Black Matte permanent vinyl wrap paper (DO NOT USE ON RIGHT SIDE - AIR BAG). Covered the area and no more stickiness or GLARE lol Used some electrical tape right around the lip of the console - clean look. Held for 2 years now.
I hope this hack will help who ever comes across this post. It will really make a huge difference. You're Welcome! :)
