I was driving the car in the hot day on local street, stop and go. I blasted AC to level 3, I normally put it on lvl 2. while driving all of a sudden car stopped responding to my feet. I had to floor the car to make it move. Struggled to figure out what to do for 10-20 minutes in traffic. Decided to take chance to drive home. It felt bad so I pulled over out of "freeway" and started inspecting with engine off. It was hot, I let it cool down and restarted engine. problem was GONE. I still can't replicate. This is devastating. I guess CVT has overheat protection. But how would I know when it will fail? I am not buying another CVT again.
