Juke SVL 4 cyl Turbo

I bought the Juke from Empire Nissan in Lakewood Colorado and drive it monthly to Albuquerque New Mexico on route 25. I HAVE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE POWER LOSS EVENTS WHILE DRIVING THIS ROUTE. Empire Nissan did nothing to help other than change the transmission fluid at 50,000 miles. Transmission fails when driving in high temperature weather and mountain driving and in elevation changes.

On August 7 the vehicle completely shut down when I was driving. I was attempting to pass two trucks. Terrible whining was heard and the gas pedal wouldn't respond at all, zero acceleration with a semj-truck behind me and on the side I managed to get the vehicle up to 20mph, then I restarted and could only accelerate to 20mph. I kept the vehicle to shoulder and kept moving slowly at 10mph with gas pedal all the way to the floor. Shut vehicle off but could only accelerate to 20 mph. I crossed a threesome highway across medium to try to return to Albuquerque from Santa Fe driving down the shoulder of road at speeds below 40mph. Made it to Albuquerque then the check engine light came on.

I shut the vehicle off then took it to Mellow Nissan the next day in Albuquerque. Left at dealership. They said there was a heat problem with this transmission and merely changing the fluid wouldn't solve the issue. Despite my having the Nissan star warranty and having paid extra for the warranty at time of purchase, they said the warranty was expired at 75,000 miles and they wouldn't honor it. They said only fix would be to purchase a Nissan remanufactured transmission at over $4000.00. Nissan extended the warranty on earlier June models and needs to include the year 2014.
