I have the premium Bose audio package which includes a 6 cd in-dash changer. It worked flawlessly for over a year and then one day, it wouldn't play a cd I had listened to the day before. I tried to eject the cd to see if something might be wrong with it and it wouldn't eject. It then wouldn't change or eject the other cds in the unit (I had it full with 6 cds at the time). Nothing would play or eject. It would also randomly, over the time I didn't have it repaired, pop up the message "please eject disc" while I was listening to the radio. I even tried a suggestion I found on the internet of disconnecting the battery for a short time and reconnecting it in an attempt to get the cd changer to self-correct. It didn't work and when I took it to the dealership, I was told that they don't repair the players/changers, they only replace them. It's apparently a common enough problem according to the dealership and my own intermittent Googling on the matter. I had the cd changer swapped out with no problem but the dealership also doesn't retrieve any imprisoned cds and instead sends the whole kit & kaboodle somewhere overseas. It is from this place that I'm supposed to receive my cds back by mail...eventually.
