Started last month, February 2019. Was on freeway, went to change lanes to pass, saw another vehicle coming up fast so I stepped down to accelerate. The rpm gauge went up like it did downshift but it didn't do much. It lagged and after I straightened out the steering wheel it kicked down like it should of done to begin with and took off. The steering wheel jerked right and got my heart pumping. Frightened me, my wife and my 7 year old daughter.
After looking online I've found this to be more than just me complaining about this issue. I do have an appointment scheduled in a Nissan dealership this week to look at. By the looks of things, others with this complaint haven't been able to get it fixed because no trouble lights have come on in the dashboard or no trouble codes have been activated.
It's could be dangerous situation. People count on the vehicle to speed up when they pass or pull out into traffic. If the vehicle does not speed up like it should something bad, an accident, could happen. I hope there is a solution to this. It seems to be happening more and more to me. Seems to be while turning the steering wheel while accelerating is when this happens for some reason.
Anyone else out there have this happen and was able to successfully get it fixed?
