CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2005-2007 Pathfinder appears to have a widespread defect where coolant leaks into the transmission, causing transmission failure around 90,000 miles. Repair costs are typically upwards of $3,500.
According to the New York Times & a class action lawsuit, the defect actually extends through 2010 model year. More info here.
Was driving and could not step on gas. It was just moving. I pulled over to turn the car off and when I tried starting, it just kept clicking and not turning over. I had it towed to a local place and they could not figure out issue. They brought in specialist and they said that the ECM was shot. Also, they said that the coolant line was leaking causing an issue (which was a popular complaint I saw). Also the gas gauge does not work- sending unit which was a common issue. All problems with this truck and not happy. Repairs were quoted at 2900. Don't have that kind of money so don't know what I will do.
