I live in Toronto, Canada. Last week the temperature dipped to double digits and freezing rain and ice pellets were coming down with snow blowing. What would be the worst thing to happen? You guessed right. My heater stopped blowing air. It had power, climate control was working with no blow. I took it to Agincourt Nissan, the dealership I originally bought the car. They charged me over three hours for diagnosis. initially they changed to blower motor but still it did not work. Eventually, they found the resistor was gone too. The labour, diagnosis and part totaled me over 850 Canadian dollar equal to approximately $725. I am pissed for this unusual problem. I have to mention that I have 130,000 km and this was the first problem I had with my Rogue.

1.It would take very long for my car to cool, it just keeps on blowing warm air in hot TX weather,10mins if you are lucky before you can feel some cold air

2.The circulating vent keeps on opening up and it will not close no matter how many times you press it,it will close when it wants to . Like it has a mind on its own

3.The passenger air bag keeps on lighting up even though the passenger is sitting perfectly with sit belt on

4 There is no maintenance minder,

5 There are times that my navigation is completely blank.

All this 5 complaints will happen intermittently !!! It doesn't happen all the time depends on my cars mood. Took this this to two different dealer and have them stayed overnight and all that they can say after that is that they can't duplicate the problem and my car is in perfect condition, came to get my car and after 30 mins. AC is doing its thing again, have the video to prove it! This is so annoying I feel I am being left out! If the dealer can't fix the problem, then who can??? This very scary for you guys thinking of buying this kind of car, guess I just got the bad one!!!!

This is one of 3 times I've had an issue with this Rogue.

We bought it Mar. 2014. Shortly thereafter the display/Radio/Nav would cut in and out sometimes even re-booting itself. I called the dealer and even took it in twice and they said each time "We can't duplicate the issue". So when I was home my wife was giving me the gears for suggesting this lemon, so I decided to give them proof. I drove around with my cellphone recording (safely) the display screen and guess what? Yup, within a 5 minute time-frame the display cut in and out several times. Next day I walked in and the first words out of my mouth to the service manager was "DUPLICATED!!" as I showed him the video. Surprise, surprise his response was - "I believe we just got a software update yesterday".

Second issue - My wife backs in her Rogue and proceeds to put it in park and the gear shifter itself comes off in her hands, Being the wife she gingerly puts it back on and thinks its fine. Well the next day it will not engage and shift into gear. So Nissan sends out roadside assistance to tow it to the dealer. We were told "They forgot to put in a pin". REALLY!!!!!

Third issue - One of the coldest days of the year my wife uses command start to pre-heat her vehicle. She goes out and the windshield is not defrosted. No heat blowing out at all. So we call Nissan. Have the car towed because it cannot be driven with a frosted windshield. Ummmm ya - tow truck arrives and complains because the amount of snow that fell the following night was too much and we would have to drive it out into the open. YOU'RE A TOW TRUCK - YOU PULL VEHICLES OUT ALL THE TIME!!!

So I drive out with a small thawed spot and head out the side window periodically and drop it off at the dealership. I was tempted to just throw a match in on the floor board and walkaway. The blower motor was shot.

I will NEVER EVER buy another Nissan let alone a Rogue again in my life. We didn't like the look of the Escape (I'm a Ford Guy) so my wife and I decided on the Rogue - boy were we wrong.

I have a headache now from reliving these experiences and want to have a nap.

I do NOT recommend Nissan or the Rogue from the experiences I have had and trust me - next I will create a big sign with all the issues titled "LEMON", strap it to the Rogue and park on a PUBLIC street outside a dealership.

Just the other day, the defroster didn't work at first but did eventually. So the sign is in fabrication.......

Purchased a new 2014 Rogue in January 2014 and had several problems since. The heat worked fine until spring and the air had to be turned on and it didn't work at all. Took it back to the dealership and they don't know what is wrong with it, so the car was in the service dept until the dash assembly could be removed and the problem found.

The service Department contacted Nissan Tech support which advised it could be the damper assembly or the air conditioner primary control unit. The tech at the dealership advised he would try to ask the owner of the dealership to order both before the dash assembly was removed so that a follow up apt to replace the defective parts wouldn't be needed. The owner of the dealership advised that they were in the business to sell cars, not stock parts. The parts are on order now as the temperature continues to rise with no air.

Nissan North America is a joke don't waste your time. I filed a complaint with them and someone was suppose to contact me which never happened and I got an E-mail saying that they aware of the conversation with the consumer complaint rep. from Nissan and were glad the issue was resolved. I never talked with anyone and was never contacted. Now My Bluetooth in the car is using my phone to contact everyone in my contacts and giving a message that I am driving and can not talk on the phone, This happens at all hours of the day while I'm not anywhere near the car, the dealership can't find anything wrong with the Bluetooth.

You start talking Lemon laws with the dealership they laugh at you and say just get a lawyer and see how far that will get you. Nissan knows they sold a piece of crap and thinks no one can do anything to them but I will continue to complain to everyone until the car is repaired.
