The airbag light on my dash just randomly popped up about 6 weeks ago and has remained that way since. Of course this light is only visible when the once U turn the key in the ignition.
Original recall performed by local dealership did not repair the problem. NHTSA recall 16V-244, OCS passenger airbag light stays on after passenger seat is occupied. This is an intermittent problem. It usually occurs when passenger sits on seat after car is started. I had it to the dealership six times in the first year after the recall. I bring it back to the dealership twice annually for inspection and oil changes. They ask if there is anything else and I tell them the passenger airbag light still stays on. I'll pick up vehicle later and they say no trouble found. I have videos (that's plural) of my wife sitting in the seat with the light on and us driving. I can send those if you want them. The last time I had it for service the service manager said if it happens again drive straight up to dealership. Uhh, my wife would be unprotected. When it does occur, I pull the vehicle over, shut off and start up.
I got a warning on my dash. I looked it up in my owners manuel and it said there was a problem with one or all air bags. If I were to get into an accident they would not deploy. I will be making an appointment to get it checked out.

Supplemental airbag sign came on at 58000 miles and will not go off. Manual says to contact dealer since potential concerns it may not deploy in an accident. Dealer want to charge $150 for diagnosis + for repair. A safety related item should be covered under warranty.
Driving down chemawa rd ne, then a vehicle heading in the opposite direction turned left onto chetco ct ne right infront of us. My vehicle was traveling at 30mph when we impacted the other vehicle. No air bags deployed on either driver or passenger side and seat belts did not lock up causing passenger to hit the dash board with their right arm. Other vehicles side air bags did deploy.
I have a Nissan Rogue select 2015 4 wheel drive. The airbag light on the dash started blinking for no apparent reason. This car has not gotten into any accidents and has less than 45,000 miles on it.
Purchased used car. Airbag light is on with adult passenger in passenger side seat. Nissan said this VIN was not part of recall. They said cost to repair is $2000 and it's not covered under warranty.
The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the front passenger air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The contact was concerned that there was a defect with the occupant detection system. The vehicle was taken to midway Nissan (located at 2209 w bell rd, phoenix, AZ 85023, (602) 635-6512) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V244000 (air bags). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
On 7/2/2018 I was on a highway and a van pulled out across my lane and I could not avoid hitting him behind the drivers door. I was going 45-50 mph and none of my air bags deployed. I turned slightly to the left to lessen the blow. My damage was all of the front bumper, hood, busted radiator, passenger side door, front right wheel, passenger side mirror. Glass was on the dashboard from something. I'm not sure about any mechanical issues yet although I'm sure there will be many. I had warnings going off al in the car. I was injured in my chest, sternum, neck and shoulders. I was thrown forward and back and to the side violently. I cannot believe none of my airbags went off. I could not breathe and was very scared. I went to the hospital and am still healing from this. I could have been killed if my sternum or rib had of broke or punctured something. I feel this was a fast enough speed that something should have deployed. This could keep my vehicle from being totaled and I don't want it back. I don't know what type of airbags mine has or if there was a recall.
Passenger airbag light stayed on, indicating that airbag would not be on or active, while passenger was in vehicle. Passenger was approximately 140 pounds. Airbag malfunction occurred when first entering vehicle and light stayed on. Thus far, occurred two times with two different passengers. Have photo documentation. This VIN is not listed on the air bag recall, however there are still issues occurring. Seeking for Nissan to repair the malfunction of the airbag sensor/ light.
I just received a post card stating that there has been a class action lawsuit alleging that Nissan sold vehicles that contain defective airbags made by takata Corp. So I have until Jan 8th, 2018 to make report. Well, due to the fact that I am from a non-profit organization and we bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue and still own it, I need to get it into a dealership and have this recall fixed. But I am also short staffed at this time. So, now what am I to do" can I take it in on Wednesday, Jan. 10th, 2018" please get back to me asap. Thanks, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

When the safety recall came out in 2016 I had it fixed, well again a few months ater it atopping worked and the dealership claim the first one did it wrong so I fixed the recall issue with the passenger airbags again. Now for the last few months it not working the airbag light is on on my dash board and the dealers want to charge me 119 to look at it plus repairs I refuse to pay for something was that was not fixed right either time. I have a serious safety issue of a non working malfunction passenger airbag, there was a safety recall on it and they claimed they fixed it twice. My passenger airbag is not turning on when someone is in the seat. I cannot have someone sit in the front because of this and Nissan is not fixing the issue. They claim too and then it breaks again. Can you help me get this fixed right or make them give me a new vehicle under lemon law.
Even though the reprogramming recall work for the passenger airbag was performed at my Nissan dealer on 6/20/16, the passenger airbag disabled light intermittently stays on while my wife is sitting in the seat and I am driving (car is in motion). She weighs approx 125 lbs.
