Engine is working okay. After I put stick in drive or reverse, the engine starts working hard. When I drive from 20 mph, there is a noise like scratching. Car doesn't have power to drive.

Rogue SL 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 13,500 miles

I bought a 2016 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5 L February 15, 2019. It was several days before I figured out what was happening as I can feel the car vibrating between 30-40 and sitting at a stop light. When the vibration happens I can feel the steering wheel vibrating and it feels like it’s coming from the engine. My whole body is effected and I feel dizzy and nauseous. Then when I exit the car I feel lightheaded and take a minute or two before I feel I can walk. My husband is not effected by this vibration so I had to do some research to prove I was not losing my mind. I am so disappointed as what I have found because I really love the car but hate driving it! I am planning on calling the Nissan dealer I bought it from next week and see what they will tell me.

Rogue S 2.5L I4

  • CVT transmission
  • 26,500 miles

At approx. 40-45 mph, there is a vibration coming from transmission, and a sensation that the tires are rubbing against something....but the tires are not rubbing against anything.

I operate the vehicle gently, as that is the only way to obtain the projected MPH

Besides the steering issue of the manufacturer's defect BOLTS, this is a very serious issue.

My feeling is that the Power Train Warranty needs to be extended now, to 10 years/120,000 miles, because consumers are experiencing these issues early on.

Rogue SL 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 16 miles

Steering wheel vibrates at steady speeds between between 25 and 45 MPH. Been back to dealership 4 times and still do not have a solution. Nissan said it is the nature of the CVT transmission to do this. Why did they not tell me this upfront. This is a SL AWD model and stickered at 31,455. What a piece of junk.Dealership said they have never heard of this before. Just google it. All kinds of complaints. They took it back and aligned the motor mounts because that was the only fix the factory had come up with. No help. I think there should be a class action lawsuit filed about this. They knew this was a problem and they flat out told me they never heard of this problem before.

Update from Apr 10, 2017: After 6 months, the last 2 of which I did not drive the car, Nissan brought the car back paying me every cent I had in it including my 6 monthly payments.

Rogue SL

  • CVT transmission
  • 150 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

There is a very abnormal vibration between 20-40 miles per hour that actually gives me a headache by the end of the day.I have been told it is normal. Also from a stop, in sport mode, the cars RPM's will go up to 4000 before the car moves. Normal I think not.

Dec 302016

Rogue SV

  • CVT transmission
  • 72 miles

Purchased 2016 Rogue SV with 82 miles. That evening noticed significant vibration in steering wheel and gas pedal. Returned to dealer and spoke with service manager. He indicated it as normal for this vehicle. When I stated that was not acceptable he said there was nothing he could do. The Sales manager and Dealership owner refused to do anything stating it is a manufacturing problem and to contact Nissan Corporate. I asked if they had any other complaints about the vibration which the vehemently denied. Really?!

I did file complaint with Nissan and they took down all the information. I was told someone would get back to me before the end of the following business day. Never heard called several times, left messages, On the 4th call I finally reached someone only to be told Nissan has not indicated this as an issue and normal operation for the Rogue. I went to an independent mechanic. After driving he identified there was significant vibration when accelerating between 20 to 40 MPH and said he believed it was a CVT issue and not aware of a solution. He told me he would never tolerate this in a brand new car and would never own one.

I can't believe I will be paying for this car for a number of years. I would trade it in now but already checked and I'd would lose an outrageous amount of money. It has less than 200 miles. Last time I purchase Nissan. I Have owned a number of new and used cars in all price ranges, NEVER drove one so inadequate.

STAY AWAY!

Rogue S 3,0 V6

I feel like Nissan is not taking this as serious as they should. It's a bad vibration. I drove another one and it did vibrate also.

Rogue SL 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 800 miles

After trying to fix vibration in transmission the car now vibrates when stopped in traffic. Take it out of D to N and it stops. Has to be part of the CVT transmission

Update from Feb 28, 2017: A lot of people are having this same problem. Keep taking your Rogue back, keep all your records and call Nissan International. After about 6 months they bought my Rogue back. I got every penny back I had in it. My trade in all 6 months of payments. KEEP COMPLAINING AND KEEP YOUR ALL RECORDS.
