Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Sentra owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

Sometime car don't accelerate won't move once the car warms up it won't move scanner says pressure control selonoid car has under 100xxx has 97xxx miles
Check engine light came on with a code P0101. I had maf sensor replaced with Nissan part and check engine light is still on. Now I am getting a reading for low voltage for the maf sensor. After researching, I have found that this is a very common problem. I now have to take car in to have electrical wiring and computer checked because there is some problem with the car's computer communicating with maf sensor.secondary problem is now the traction light randomly keeps illuminating and car loses acceleration from time to time. Car only has 51,000 miles on it.
Transmission slipping, hesitating, and lunging. Some times causes sudden acceleration or deceleration, almost causing accidents. Car is also starting to make abnormal sounds from time to time, which started when the transmission issues started. Sometimes the car has even tried to lunge forward when brake is applied in a stopped position. This transmission was already changed once because original owner complained of lack of acceleration. The car only has 50K on it. Taking it to Nissan service center this weekend! but I can imagine what I'm going to hear.
I have a 2014 Nissan Sentra. My vehicle start jerking and barely driving while on the road. I had it towed to a shop and they said it was cvt. Nissan have a judgement against them for a faulty cvt and required to honor to replace this with certain miles or 7 years. My car meet the total year and Nissan refuse to pay. My car is currently at Nissan and they email me a bill for 4,000. I don't feel Nissan is owning up to the fact these transmission was built faulty and I can't afford nor should I have to pay for such. Please assist me with solving this issue. I only have one car and Nissan must honor their judgement since it's been confirmed cvt for my vehicle
Cvt transmission failed without any signs that a problem was present or warning of an issue. The vehicle was parked and upon driving it, it made several unexplained noises. The vehicles was stopped and would not move anymore. No prior issues or warnings in driving it up to this inccident. Nissan corporate.was contacted and they said they could not help replace.the transmission or give any discounts towards the replacement which was $4,000.. also my local Nissan dealer would not help with financial assistance or a discount. Nissan sent out extended warranties for this issue and knows it it a problem. But will not help you if you are past their warranty.

The transmission would occasionally slip while in motion during acceleration. When the vehicle was brought into the dealer for an oil change, we brought the issue to their attention. Service department advised that a tcm software update was needed. I located a service campaign bulletin covering tcm reprogram covering 2013 vehicles (sb-10051662-4475). Nissan Consumer Affairs will not address the 2014 issue at this time.
My 2014 Nissan Sentra was starting to slip as I was driving, mind you my car has only 113 thousand plus miles on it. After taking it to the dealer after paying 140 dollars to have have the code read, I was told that I needed a new transmission, 31036-9am2A. They said it was a common issue that Nissan knows about and gave me the costumer service number to call, with a $3600 cost estimate. After leaving the dealer I called Nissan and they told me that due to the mileage there was nothing they could do. After hearing this I began to do some research and I found that this is indeed a common issue that has been going on with Nissan cvt transmissions. They have extended some warranties to 120 thousand miles or 5 years however I was told my car mileage excludes me from this warranty. What years are included in this warranty. Please help.
Nissan cvt transmissions durability is under a class-action lawsuit, and their response to extended warranties to cover the issues is insufficient and in disregard of the current pandemic. Nissan does not explain why 7 years or 84000 miles were chosen as the cutline to provide coverage. If 7 years is the decided coverage, which is unsatisfactory for transmissions, the corresponding mileage should be 94500, not 84000 based on "the U.S. department of transportation's federal highway administration states the average person drives around 13,500 miles every year.". Nissan must explain this coverage limits decision and extend the warranty period amid the pandemic to avoid negligence.
2014 Nissan Sentra automatically turned off while parked on 9/26/20, jerked, revved and shook while in motion between 1 and 2 RPM on 10/15/2020, 10/20/2020 and 10/21/2020
Cvt transmission tons of complaints and nothing done - not I have a car that wont run- bought less than 6 months ago. No recall and keep selling this crappy transmission over 3K to fix- no one but dealership will fix either. Wont go forward.
Well my nephew was driving home from work and the car started making a grinding noise so he stopped called me to go help him because the car wouldn't go anymore. So the next morning I turned it on immediately you hear grinding so I immediately turn the vehicle off.checked the transmission pan and it had small pieces of metal in the pan.
Why is the transmission giving so many problems and not being taking care of. I am still in warranty time frame but out of miles & now I need a new transmission and nobody can help me. The input shaft bearing is gone bad. I was told these transmission are known for it. But nissian has not recalled yet why? it has been making noise for years and dealer said it was normal, now a different dealer says no you need new transmission.
Hi I have 3 issues with my car, it's a 2014 Nissan centra, the first issue is the transmission it's really bad I have already too it to a Nissan dealership an said they fixed the issue but it's still doing the same thing, when you go to take off from a red light or stop sign it wants to hesitate taking off, it spitting and jerks and the transmission doesn't want to change gears, I have a automatic but it acts like a straight shift so when it hesitates I have to push the gas nor to get it to go but if you mash the gas to hard it will take off fast after it spits, it is very dangerous, I have almost slammed into the back of a few vehicles because of this problem, I have tried to pull out from a side road and a car would be coming an I know I have time to get out but when the transmission wants to act crazy an it starts hesitating to go, I have almost been hit several times. That's not all my other issue is with the air conditioner, this is the 3rd time it has went out in the last year, I went and had it serviced an they said it was the air compressor, I took it to pep boys and the guy that looked at it he told me that he has had 47 Nissan centras in the last two months to be serviced for the same reasons, well one day the air conditioning was fine but the next day I went to turn it on and it is blowing nothing but hot air so he checked it and he said the compressor went out again!! the other issue is yesterday I went to get dinner and all of a sudden the engine light came on. And my car doesn't even have 40,000 miles on it yet, I really hope writing to you about these things going wrong will open the Nissan company's eyes before someone actually get killed driving one of their cars. Thank you very much!!! for taking the time out of your day to read this. And I hope you can get to the bottom of these issues before someone really gets hurt, all these problems in 3 weeks.
Shuttering, unexpected power surges, hesitation, stalling, and of course lots of bad noises in general. I found numerous Nissan transmission lawsuits filled regarding 2014 Sentra prone to shaking, jerking, sudden downshifts. I am unable to drive my vehicle and have been told it needs a transmission and this vehicle has a long history of issues.
