From my limited research, it seems quite evident that Nissan has a problem with virtually all their vehicles frame rusting. Nissan needs to step up and admit they have a problem. Then they need to do like Toyota and do something about it.

In June 2007 my husband noticed that his 2006 Nissan Titan had rust on the rims and bumper (which is painted). He called Nissan World in Denville, NJ and they said that they would call him when a Nissan Rep was in to take a look at the problem. We never received a call. This week my husband called back and had also noticed that on the body it appeared that there were small spots of rust all over the truck. He brought in the truck on Wednesday morning on 8/15/07 and was told to come back the next morning so the Nissan Rep could see the problem. So on Thursday after the Rep had seen the car Nissan determined that they would not do anything with it and refused to fix the problem. They said that the rust was not a defect but from the environment. I have never heard of a car rusting after it is just one year old. We were very angry and called the General Manager who told us to call Nissan Headquarters. When my husband picked up the truck there was a big dent in the tailgate and the dealership refused to take any responsibility. Even though they have surveillance cameras there, they will not take responsibility and I was told by Tammi the "Regional Specialist" at Nissan Headquarters that they would do nothing.

I will tell everyone to never buy a Nissan, ever. They do not take responsibility and do not honor their warantee.
