A fire, seeming to start under the dash, spontaneously erupted and destroyed the entire vehicle and some very expensive property in the bed. The truck was setting still at the time. My understanding is that this is not an isolated case. I have never installed any after market equipment on the vehicle.

In addition, the contact stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated and the gauges fluctuated. The contact stated that the windows operated independently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the technician stated that the throttle actuator and ECM needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 77,250.

Flange connecting tailpipe to muffler rusted through. Remaining exhaust system in pristine condition and without any type of rust. This disconnect between muffler and tailpipe allowed hot exhaust to melt wiring harness that runs along the entire length of the exhaust system. This damage to the wiring harness resulted in loss to ABS, ECM, traction control, fuel pump, fuel pump temp sensor, evap pressure sensor, evap vent control valve, rr ABS wheel speed sensor and fuel level sensor.
