The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Titan. While driving approximately 15-30 mph, the rear differential seized without warning. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence where the contact performed a self diagnostic test on the vehicle. The contact stated that the main pinion gear failed, which sent metallic components and gear oil onto the roadway. The vehicle was repaired. Future Nissan of folsom (located at 12610 auto mall cir, folsom, ca 95630, (877) 635-4447) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,500.
