The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the spare tire was mounted under the vehicle. The spare tire mounting support fractured and dislodged the spare tire. The contact was concerned that someone could have been injured by the dislodged spare tire. The vehicle was taken to Nissan North (8645 high St, columbus, oh 43235, (614) 846-8100) to be inspected. The contact was informed that the information would be forwarded to the manufacturer for consideration. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
The paint is peeling on the hood and on the roof. This truck is only three years old and has 29,800 miles on it. I contacted Nissan and they refused to help based on the fact I am out of warranty by 7 months. Before that, we complained to the dealer, auto nation Nissan in miami (during the warranty period) and they said it was the manufacturer's problem.
