My 21 Titan Pro 4X would clunk and slam into gears at low speeds after doing a bit of stop and go driving through the city. I’m not sure what was wrong with it but it was as if once the transmission got warmed up a bit with stop and go traffic, it just did not understand which gear to be in and it would just slam down into lower gears suddenly and so harshly that it felt like I was rear ended multiple times. This happened pretty much from day one of purchasing the truck but I just didn’t notice it until I got into some stop and go traffic and boom there it was.
I bought this truck because it is supposed to be old tech that has been perfected over the years but it clearly has not. The new nine speed transmission is clearly garbage and worse than the old seven speeds were. I honestly can’t believe they offer a 100,000 mile warranty on these trucks when they are such pieces of trash. I knew that if I took it to the dealer they would just say nothing is wrong with it because they won’t drive it for 30 minutes in stop and go traffic so that they could reproduce the horrific transmission slamming. So I saved myself the stress and the headache and traded it and thankfully I didn’t lose any money because of the stupid ridiculous car market we have right now. Never again Nissan.
