I purchased this car new from a dealer in Sept. 2006 and I have taken great care of this car. I went to store about 8 miles and parked in my yard. About 10 minutes later my car alarm went off and would not stop, and then I noticed the fire in firewall and bellowing underneath. I had a fire extinguisher near and put it out. No one received any injuries other than my feelings. The car is a total loss and I only had liability insurance. My main concern is this has to be something defective from manufacturer and a dangerous situation with what could have been alot worse. Someone needs to look into this.

electrical short with radio

From day 1, whenever it rained, when I would lock/unlock the doors, the radio would cut out. It was still on, but nothing coming from it. I had to turn off the radio and back on and it would work normally. I took it to the dealership several times and they could never replicate the issue. I just gave up trying to get them to fix it, since it was more a pain to take it to them to try to diagnose the problem, than it was to turn off the radio.
