I bought my Nissan Versa on June 13, 2015. At first the only issues was the TPMS light was on and the check engine was on, but these issues were taken care of. Two weeks into having the vehicle, the TPMS light came back on. Also, I was driving when all of a sudden i heard a loud knocking noise. My boyfriend checked my oil and said to me that I needed to bring the car home since I had NO OIL in the car. So we brought the car back home and we put in 4 quarts of 5w20 and let the car sit for a few days. A few days later we brought the car back to the dealership and the dealer took the car to the mechanic to check out the oil issue and the TPMS light. I was going out of town for a few days and at this point, the car was in the shop for almost a week and a half. When I returned from my vacation, I called the mechanics and they told me that they had to fix the valve cover gasket and bought a new TPMS light and should be fixed and ready in a few days. A few days later I picked up the car and the TPMS light returned when I drove the car off the lot. I kept a watch on the oil problem. From July 18 through July 21 I had to put in 1/2 a quart of oil and returned the car to the dealership. The car went back into the mechanics shop to have the engine degreased.

The car was returned on July 22. The next day, the oil was down 1/2 a quart and had to add more oil. From the 23rd to 29th, I had to add almost 2 quarts of oil. On the 31st, my boyfriend gave me a full oil changed. He smelt the oil and he could tell the oil was definitely burning. He put in 4 quarts of Max Life synthetic 5w 20 oil. From August 1 through the 4, I was down 1/4 a quart of oil so I added more.

On the 4th of August, I brought the car back to the mechanic. I did not hear from the mechanic in a week at this point. On August 12th I called the dealer I bought my car from and asked what was going on with the car. He told me that he needed to order the Valve Cover and did a consumption test on the car to see how much the car was consuming oil. He told me that the car will be done the next day. So, the next day, the mechanics called me saying that they received the wrong part and will be ordered and fixed the next day. At this point I was so angry I just wanted to leave my car there. The next day, I picked up my car after work. My boyfriend checked the oil and the oil was okay.

On August 15th, my boyfriend noticed a lot of white smoke coming out from my muffler and checked the oil but the level wasn't accurate since the car was running. Today, August 16th, my boyfriend checked the oil and the oil was down 1/2 a quart and he added more oil. It seems to me that the mechanic is completely blind and has no clue how to fix this issue. I wish I could figure out how this issue can be resolved because I am getting fed up of bringing the car to the shop and the mechanics supposedly "fix" the problem when obviously they do not know squat!
