I had a bad time with ignition especially during winter when rolling short distances. Nissan didn't want to investigate under warranty, said it was an electric problem not covered. When the warranty was finished they said it finally was the fuel pump regulator that had to be changed, too bad i had to pay. Had the worst service at Paquette Nissan in Quebec city. My new dealer sold be a rear wiper blade that didn't fit my versa, but it's the only part that exists.

I thought this was a good vehicle 2008 Nissan Versa SL, after what I read on the Internet Its not very good at all. It’s the second time that the vehicle is not starting, and add to call a towing to tow to a close garage, not a dealer. Because I knew or add an idea of the problem, because I couldn't hear the fuel pump running. I did call the dealer and ask if he knew of any problems with this kind of problem not starting, he said yes, the fuel pump and ask me how old is the car and told me its more than 3 years no guaranties even if I have only 42,700 km. There is no way I will leave this like this. I know now that the fuel pump alone cost 500$ CAD plus tax and labour( +3 hours)'' the fuel pump is in the gas tank'' and won't get the parts until 3 days later. If everything is OK. They know that they have problems with their fuel pump and nothing is done, because the newer cars have the same problems. I will write more when I will get more info... I still can't believe this

Update from Feb 25, 2012:

My Garage did find the fuel pump was defected and was change after 3 days because the dealers didn't have it. No car for 4 days. After paying a TOTAL of $601.32, I finally did get my Nissan 2008. Also, I did send numerous emails to my 417 Nissan Ottawa dealer in Canada and Canada Nissan. To my surprise I got a call from Canada Nissan and I explained and I answer some more questions that she needs. She did ask me to send by fax or email her my two bills for the repairs done and paid for. She will look in to it with the others and give me a response as soon as possible.

Update from Feb 25, 2012: error wrote not sure when I should of put the total cost

I find this very ridiculous... just because the car wouldn't start, it kept trying and trying and my wife didn't know how to stop it only by pressing the stop button on the remote. She was not told to use the brake pedal or lift the hood. It should of stop after 3 tries . But it didn't.The remote was install by a professional Lebeau car window. And there's more, Nissan dealer didn't have both parts. No car for 4 days +$425.Didn't bring to the Nissan dealer, it would of cost much more on labor( parts; 48$ each spark plug X 4. Also more happen again, one week after it was done. see complaint again, it wouldn't start.... other problem.

Update from Feb 25, 2012: First time it cost $413.26 CAD (it start, then would stop, then tried again more than few time, BUT WOULDN’T START. Towed to the closer garage the engine was flooded. Sparkplug very wet and gas in oil. So, price unbelievable! Change sparkplug and intake gaskets...HA YES! WAITED 4 DAYS to have car .DEALER DIDN’T HAVE THE PARTS!!!!! Mileage; 41,959.km I did send numerous emails to the dealer 417 Nissan, in Ottawa,On, Canada, and also Canada Nissan. To my surprise I received a call from Canada Nissan about the emails that I wrote. She wanted more info and explanation's and she gave me a email and fax number send her by fax copies of my bills for all the repairs done.

Towing was free CAA and also add special prices on those repairs. She will get back to me as soon has possible. More info letter. the cause mite be the defect fuel pump

I can't believe a car that was bought new in 2008, with as little as 19,000 has issues cranking up. It takes several times for the car to start. The dealer says that it is not covered under the warranty.
