I work a somewhat dangerous job and need to be able to access my vehicle at all times. I went to get in it one day and the driver side door handle came off. I thought that this would be a good work car because I had purchased a Nissan (300zx) before and never had any problems. The fact that it was overpriced and had some issues should have been my warning.

door handle has come loose

Dear Nissan,

I bought two 2009 Nissan Versas brand new. First the front right hub cap fell off BOTH vehicles within the first year. Next the key hole cover on the door handle fell off on BOTH cars. By the fourth year the AC Compressor went out and I had to pay $1,300 to replace it. Finally I walk out to my vehicle, go to open the door, and the driver door handle came completely off. I started saving up to replace it because the part is only $87 but the labor brings the cost over $400. When I was driving on the highway I saw another Nissan Versa (same model) with the door handle missing. The part is defective. I filed case # 12093825 and I'm starting to get the run around. This needs to be fixed. The car is defective.

The Nissan Versa 2009 is one of the worst cars I have ever purchased. I purchased this car because the Nissan NX1200 was such a GREAT car, and lasted over 10 years -- sold it at 200,000+ miles. ....This Versa is HORRIBLE!!!!.... It stayed in the shop (brand new) so much -- staff quit writing up the tickets... finally when all the oil spilled out of the engine (less than a year old) -- went to corporate --- my engine was given an extension on coverage...there are sooooo many small things that also break -- trunk door will not open.. door knob is now loose, panel over the stick is loose, tires were always, always showing as deflated -- this system finally quit working... will not get it repaired... ... Every car I have owned has lasted 10+ years without the hassle of constant repairs... I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NISSAN!
