CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.

Car was running hot, but the gauge doesn't tell you how hot. So I was terrified and turning the car off at every red light until I could get it to the mechanic.
First visit, he adds antifreeze.
2 weeks later, it's running hot again, more panic, and he thankfully says it's only the hose. The Nissans have a class action lawsuit judgment against them. The radiators crack and the fluids get into the transmission costing many thousands of dollars in damage, but all the owner gets is an extended warranty that pays $800 of a $4,000 repair job. Not hardly fair. So, yes, I lost sleep over whether this had happened to me. Won't know until the transmission fails.
