This problem started about 4 months ago when I was driving home from work and the "service engine soon" light came on and the car would not accelerate. After being towed to my nearest trusty shop they could not figure out why it had stalled so they recommended clearing the throttle body. I got the car back and all seemed well.

A month later the same issue while I was crossing a major bridge heading to work (how fun and safe!). Completely crapped out. Back to the shop! Still no diagnostic but I did a tune up for peace of mind. Car was running great! Two weeks later... Yeah. Finally took it to a Nissan dealership and the code had cleared so they couldn't figure it out. They had the damn car for 5 days (I work two jobs in different areas of the city) so that really isn't convenient. After all that, and an accumulative $500 so far, nothing. FINALLY a month later engine light back on.

Immediately took it back to dealer and they found that it was the accelerator pedal sensor. Funny thing was another person with same make and model just brought theirs in for the same issue. Nearly $1000 later I'm reading about a recall for this issue with Versas made in Japan but what about this? Exact same problem. Other than that the car is a beauty, always well taken care of. Get your sh*t together Nissan before this hurts someone else.
