CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012-2017 Nissan Versa has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data.
In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

Bought car three months ago, with 13,200 miles. Working fine until this week. out of Freon due to hole on the one part that cannot be fixed unless the whole a/c system is remove via the dashboard. Since the car is three years old there is no warranty. Not only, I'm overwhelmed with whatever is going to be the final cost. The so called Nissan part price is not only the priciest of a bunch, but you can only use their part to fix the problem. I can see having this issue with an older car, but not such a newer one. It just remind e me to call the lady that I just spld her last week that the Verza was a good car, STOP DO NOT BUY IT. All I know is that I will be worried again when the car hits 36000 that it will happen again. Very Disappointed on Nissan.
