Versa 1.6L I4

From time to time the throttle doesn't respond right away when pressing the gas pedal. The first time I noticed it it took 3-4 seconds after pressing the pedal before the engine started to respond/rev up. This is especially problematic with a manual transmission. Trying to take off from a stop on a hill like that runs the risk of drifting into the car behind you. Fortunately, I've been able to manage when it occurs. I've also found if I turn the car off for 30 seconds to a minute it starts working correctly again. However, this makes it impossible for the dealership to diagnose because if it doesn't do it when the car is there, there's nothing they can do to figure it out. I'm pretty sure it's either the pedal position sensor or the electronic throttle body malfunctioning but no way to know for sure. I miss the old cable driven throttle bodies that moved continuously with the pedal. Electronics can randomly malfunction and making diagnosing them very difficult.
