While merging onto the highway, the engine revved up to about 4,000 RPM but the car wouldn’t go past 20 mph. I took it to the dealership and they told me it needed an ECU reset because I recently replaced the battery. I don’t really understand how a battery change would cause this, but I paid just to get the car back so I could make it to work.
I’m worried this could be something else—possibly an intermittent issue with the MAP sensor or the CVT. The car only has 23k miles, and problems like this don’t seem normal for such low mileage.
