Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa Note owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.
I bought my 2014 Nissan Versa Note in July 2014 with 22 miles on it. In December 2016 I began noticing knocking noises when going over speed bumps and minor bumps in the road. I took the car to the Nissan dealership and they inspected the car and found that both control arm bushings had completely worn through. The car was still under warranty, so Nissan replaced the lower control arms free of charge. I asked what could have cause the bushings to wear so quickly, and the service advisor told me he didn't know and that it was weird that the bushings would wear out so soon. This is highly alarming to me as this is the second part I've had to replace on my vehicle with no explanation as to what caused the part to become defective. This car is just over two years old, and I am under the impression that control arms shouldn't need to be replaced until 80,000 or 90,000 miles.
