My 2001 Toyota Corolla had a head gasket failure which according to the shop foreman was very common failure at a costs to us of $931.66. It seems the gasket fails on the rear of the engine in front of the glove box. The failure is so common no test were performed such as looking for coolant in the oil, according to the Toyota dealership shop foreman.
