Ok, my mom's car started this ticking noise last year. We didn't know what it was until it got worse and had it checked out three weeks ago. Apparently, the tire rods broke and created sludge on top of the motor. Luckily, my mom had the extended warranty right? Wrong, the warranty guy said they wont cover the job to fix it because of the sludge on top of the motor. So, some how the tire rods broke even though my mom has my friends or neighbor change the oil. Oh, I forgot to mention, the only repair of the broken tie rod was a new motor, which is $4,000 and then labor knocks it up to $5,000, which we don't have to just shell out.
