We are retired, bought the car the same month I retired, July 2009, hoping it would last us the rest of our lives! The paint started chipping last year in the fall, and now you can see rust. Will it start leaking soon? The cheapest paint job I can find is $600. I was surprised to see the exact same complaints on your website. Has to be an issue with the paint job, we are all in different states or parts of the word/country. I see older Toyotas on the road, I am tempted to ask if they have had a new paint job. This is a rude way to address your customers. I will not gripe, rant or yell. The world needs to know what they are getting for their money. Thanks for listening to me and I do hope I hear positive feedback from you! James Biggers in Rock Hill, S.C.

Update from Jul 16, 2018: I paid $650.00 to keep my car from leaking through the roof. Biggest complaint are from Honda's and Toyota's! What is wrong with the paint you are using? I hope you are willing to reimburse me. Send an address to receive receipt for paint repair! I also have pictures, before and after!

Rust spots appeared on the trunk of my Corolla 4 years after I bought it. When I advised the dealership, I was told my guarantee was expired, If it had been 10 years after the purchase, I could have accepted this a bit more -- but FOUR YEARS is a bit too much. Does Toyota only apply paint that will last a few years after the purchase? Is this what they mean when they promote their vehicles as being of superior workmanship? This is my second and last Toyota vehicle. Their disregard of quality work and customer satisfaction has cost them a loyal customer, not only where I'm concerned, but also my family, my friends, my Twitter and Facebook followers, and anybody else who is willing to listen to my story.
