The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the accessory belt broke in the engine. The charging system light illuminated on the instrument panel, instructing her to not drive the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the belt was replaced under warranty. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that the dealer would perform the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 4,600.

I have a Toyota Corolla 2010 which I bought in the first week of August 2009. While I was driving to sacramento around last August, my car lost power in the middle of a freeway. I was in the fast lane, and unable to operate the car. I realized that the engine was not there, it went off, no power and the car decreased its speed and finally stopped. Fortunately I was able to get out in the left emergence lane. If it was a rush hour and traffic was busy, I would have an accident. Fortunately, there was no accident. After thinking for 5 minutes or so, I turned on the engine and started driving again. Last week I went to Toyota dealer (for the recall) and told my situation. But they didn't give much attention to my concerns. I know come to realize that this may not be my problem and someone may have the same problem. I need help how this happen and if the problem occurs in other area, please prevent it happening again. So that we will save life.
