Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the manufacturer failed to provide the remedy and repair parts to the dealer within a reasonable time frame. The dealer (ray brandt Toyota, 2460 veterans blvd, kenner, la 70062, (504) 464-4500) stored the vehicle outside for over a year and indicated that they serviced the vehicle months later for NHTSA campaign numbers: 17V006000 (air bags) and 16V340000 (air bags). The contact was uncertain if both repairs were completed. In addition, the headlamp lenses were foggy, the fog lights had water intrusion, the rubber molding around all of the windows was dry rotted, and the dashboard had dents and an imprint that were unable to be removed. The dealer failed to remedy the additional failures. The manufacturer was notified and a case manager was assigned. The contact made numerous calls to the manufacturer, but had not received a resolution for over a year. The failure mileage was not available. Parts distribution disconnect.

The right front of the vehicle hit a stationary vehicle on its left rear, at 25 plus mph, with no advance braking. Driver experienced full sun blindness. Naturally the quarter panels were destroyed, but the damage included the suspension, wheel universal, car doors were pushed together, and there was even a rumble on the roof. Car totaled. No air bags ever deployed. This said, the driver was unscathed and the alignment was still good. The issue given that the doors were pushed together, there was a rumple in the roof, both tires were deflated, and the universal and axels would have to be replaced (this was the minimum identified damage), this seems like a significant impact.

No criminal action needs to be excersized, I just want to hold who is responsible for the defective items which have caused me a dramatic life change.. emotionally and physically.. I will never be the same, I have titanium rods drilled into the bottom of my skull holding it to my spine..

Gross safety ignorance by Toyota. The vehicle lost power and the driver behind me struck me. Problem started the next day after the sale transaction. This is my second compliant with NHTSA. All exhibits on the file. I asked other dealerships to fix the vehicle; they refused to perform neither test nor inspection due to manufacture defects. I was sent back to the Toyota case mangers who ignores the safety and refuses to provide resolutions. Audio recording on the file. I notified the servicer and the manufacture rep which was the Toyota case manager about the ongoing problem. I sent certified registered letters. Bothe, the manufacture rep and the servicer gave verbal guarantees which were broken. They are flip-flopping, their verbal guarantees and promises were broken over and over. The vehicle has ongoing problems occurring daily but it is completely random. The manufacture rep refused to install a chat recorder and monitors the vehicle symptoms, he fuses to provide technical information on the allowable temperature breaks rotor disk; excessive break pads dust buildup, the servicer refuses further test the vehicle. The short test drive which the servicer uses to test the vehicle is insufficient. Tests are during the rush hour and short driven distances. I offer to pay for the technician time and drive the vehicle outside the rush hour and longer distance but it was rejected as well. My complaint to NHTSA hasnt brought Toyota attention either.

On 2/19/15 at around 9:27 pm my car was hit by a pickup truck in downtown bellevue, here is what happened 1. I approached the intersection to take a left from bellevue way ne to enter ne 7th St which takes into the Lincoln square cinema parking lot 2. I saw the red signal (exclusive left arrow) and waited for the light to turn green to take left. My car was first in line waiting on red 3. once the left arrow turned green I started turning left and half way into the roadway a pickup truck (driving at around 45-50 mph) hit my car on the front passenger side (side collision) 4. with that impact my car was dragged about 15 feet and hit another car, that was standstill and waiting to turn right from ne 7thst to bellevue way ne) the impact to my car was so intense police officer filed a case and interviewed witnesses at the scene and concluded it was other guy (pickup truck) mistake. However, I am surprised why air bags didn't deploy? mine is fairly new car, only 3 year old with 33K milage. I brought it brand new in December 2011 I am taking this serious because, fortunately my wife is not in the car when accident happened. However, me and my wife usually go everywhere together, and I can't even imagine what might have happened if she was sitting in the front passenger sear. So I want to file a case against the car company for selling me a defective car.

It was a four car pile up. A car that was two cars in front of me suddenly stopped and cause traffic to come to a complete stop, nobody was hit at first. A black truck did not realize traffic had stopped and had a lot of speed on him and crashed into a van that was behind me which crashed into my Toyota Corolla which caused me to run into the Suburban in front of me. My car and the van who hit me were totalled out, but during the wreck my air bag never deployed and the guy who worked at the towing place said he does not see why my air bag did not deploy. He said it should have deployed.

I was approaching a four way stop at the appropriate speed limit of 35mph before the impact. As I was getting closer, I went ahead and decelerated. I've had problems with the brakes in the past. As I got closer to the stop sign, in a blink of an eye, I was being dragged by a large Chevy heavy duty truck across the intersection. The airbags did not deploy either. The impact completely dismantled my front end. After the paramedics and fire fighters arrive, I was rushed to the er for reported back and neck injuries. I was looked over and was discharged barely being able to walk. The car was towed to a repair shop quite a distance away from my home. My insurance said the shop could be trusted. I asked over 20 people and each person said that the damage from this car has to result in being totaled. The mechanic said otherwise. He began working on the car without my consent and demanded; threatened my insurance company to pay him $4,000 for a few days of work and $7,000 later on. This was after I had already spoken with my insurance to file this car as being totaled. The mechanic threatened for money saying he had already started on the car when he never even touched it after 3 weeks. I used to trust Toyota vehicles, but after this accident I'm never buying another Toyota again. The emergency response team said it was a miracle that I was alive. My complaint is the airbags and brakes failed to do their job.

The first accident was in June 29 2012, while I was driving 10 miles an hour (for transit) the car in front of me stopped and I try to stop as well but my car didn't stop (increase its speed) and I crashed in the back of the car (I remain surprised, did not know what had happened). The second accident happened on December the 28th of 2012, around 2:00 pm, I was in my way to New Jersey, 2 miles away from the Washington bridge; there was a truck in front of me and I was not moving and pushing the brakes but all of a sudden my vehicle started going forward so I used the hand brake trying to stop it; but my car still crash the other car on the back. I bought this car zero miles from your dealer (hudson Toyota) and I am very upset and disappointed! this shouldn't happen to me if the car would be in perfect conditions!!, I am always worry driving it, I don't know when this will happen again!! I take the car to Toyota's December 29, 2012, revised it and said it did not find anything, was his reply in March 28 of 2013. Now I am in trouble because I used to pay $700 every six months for my car insurance and now they raise it to $ $1,300 every six months.

On May 04, 2013, my mom was involved in a bad traffic accident with her 2011 Toyota Corolla where the driver's side airbag did not deploy. The insurance adjustor wrote it up as a total loss and advised me to contact Toyota to inquire about the airbags not deploying. My mom is currently recovering from two major surgeries from this accident. The first surgery they had to remove her left kidney due to internal bleeding. The second surgery was 41/2 hours long repairing her badly broken right arm..all parties involved, at the scene of the accident, to the medical staff at the hospital and the towing company all advised me to contact Toyota and inquire about the airbags not deploying. The driver parked her car in a bank parking lot to write out a check and wanted to cash it using the bank drive thru. She backed out of the parking spot, misjudging the parking medium / island on her right hand side and started to move forward making a right hand turn. At the time, her car got stuck on top of the medium. After several attempts to free her car by pressing the gas pedal down, the driver lost control of her vehicle after finally breaking free from the medium. The driver drove up and over a parking lot curb and onto the grass, scraping a bank sign, through a black iron fence, off an (5ft. To 6ft.) embankment wall and into a large wood utility pole. This crash caused her launch from the driver's seat and head first into the passenger side window, she injured the top of her head where she needed several stitches.

When car hits bumps frame on car makes a noise. Also you can see it give or move. Car has a tough ride to it for a le model. Bottom of seat on car is to short. Brake pedal and accelerator pedal is to far to the right it needs to be alittle more to left also their to close together. Makes seat bottom to the right (needs to be straighter)to match pedals. I think dashboard is to low. The body noises happen more with one person in the car. Also on hot days and very cold days dash has a crack sound to it. The car is quieter on rainy days like a normal car.
