Lower oil return hose leaked. The car hardly uses a 1/2 qt of oil between service intervals at 288,900. I had just recently changed the oil about 500 miles prior. I turned off the engine when I heard the clicking of steel on steel. Neither the oil light or check engine light came on. What the *^$%#!!
