I love Toyota and this is my third one...I had the Camry, RAV4, and now the Highlander. I never had any problem with the interior of the cars, except for the Highlander. This is my second complaint about the Highlander. First it was the visor now the arm rest. What's the purpose of having an arm rest if you cannot use it. The leather piece on the arm rest is no good because after resting your arm on it for a while it starts to crack and running like spider veins.

I thought it was something about my arm that was causing the problem but after riding in 2 similar Highlanders I realized that its a common problem. Those 2 highlanders were worse off than mine.

.

I took the car in to the Toyota dealer and was told that the leather cover would cost $250.00 to replace. The cracks had gotten worse but I believe it's a defect on Toyota's part and they should fix it.

I can't even relax while driving because I have to keep reminding myself to keep my arm off that rest.
