We were driving on I-44 around 3:45 pm in semi rush hour traffic at about 25 miles per hour. The traffic came to a stop and when we tried to stop the brake completely gave out and we ended up rear ending the truck in front of us. The brakes were pushed all the way to the bottom and even pumped several times but no stopping. Very scary. Now we are left with car that we scared to drive and no solution. What if this happens with a higher speed?

Thanks

01/18/2014: First happened to me. I was attempting to slow down a 30-mph drive for the coming stop, the car became rocking as if I had been pushing and pulling the brake multiple times. The car didn't slow down until the brake was released and reapplied. No snow, no slippery road. I didn't notice this problem until it happened again, but to my wife, two days later dangerously at an intersection.

So afraid of driving it now and going to call Toyota Care and the dealer. Lightly used vehicle and proper care and checkup every few thousand miles as covered by Toyota care. No problem had been reported, so there must be a defect/bug in the computer system.
