Vehicle exhibits shift-flare under WOT, a condition exactly described in T-SB-0105-20, dated 10/18/2020. A problem that supposedly only exists in early build 2020 Toyota Highlander models. However, this is a 2021 with a Mfg date in April 2021. It's the AWD model, so the transmission is the Aisin 8-spd UA80F. The shift-flare is intermittent and so far, owner cannot consistently duplicate the condition. Local dealer will be asked to diagnose at first 5K service on 10/06/2021, but unless condition can be consistently duplicated, dealer will classify as 'normal operation.' TSB calls for a reprogram of the ECM (PCM) on the vehicle to reduce the shift-flare condition.
