The brake actuator keeps buzzing every 3 seconds or so the entire time the car is on and even after I turn the car off and get out. The brakes make a wierd burping noise and the pedal depresses with each noise if I am stopped at a red light or stop sign with my foot on the brakes. All of the brake, abs, and traction control lights lit up. The regenerative braking is no longer working.

We have been experiencing on multiple occasions car while driving will slow down, hybrid safety warning light on dashboard will turn on and tell us we have to go to a safe area and turn off car. The car will automatically shut down like a golf cart feeling. We have had near incidents were we have almost crashed. The car now will not go past 35 miles. We brought the car to a Toyota Dealership because we noticed their was a software update recall. When we left the car repeated the warning again about 5 minutes leaving the dealership. The dealership has not helped us and refuses to fix car. We mentioned to them that there have been many complaints regarding the same issue.

I had the proper recall fixes done on my 2013 Toyota Prius 3 months ago for the stalling issues. Last night while accelerating to get on the freeway my Prius shut down and entered limp home mode. The 'check hybrid system. Stop vehicle in a safe place' light came on. Eventually the car wouldn't turn on at all. I didn't feel safe one bit. I'm a female, alone at night, in a bad part of town, it was 25 outside, on the side of a freeway! I don't believe the recall fixed the problem.

While driving on rte. 24 South in Massachusetts (around brockton/bridgewater/ taunton, MA) the caution light began flashing (triangle with exclamation). I pulled over at the nearest rest stop to see if there was any observable problem, but I could not detect anything specific. I got back on the highway; and the light continued beeping intermittently and then about a mile later I felt a shift in the transmission and suddenly I was in neutral, quickly decelerating from 65 mph. Thankfully I was able to pull over safely, at which point a new message was on my dash telling me to pull over, that there was something wrong with my hybrid system! we (the tow truck guy and I) noticed oil under the car and confirmed it was clean oil, and I saw another spot in my driveway when I got home. I have surmised that when I got my oil changed last week, something might have happened to cause the leak, which is in fact the case and now my engine needs to be replaced (the repair shop has owned the error and is paying for this). However my concern that I wish to register is that the car should have been able to tell me not to drive it, not just a caution light that could have meant anything. I could have had a very serious accident. And when I called the dealership from which I bought the car, no one called me back (I tried three times and was disconnected once) braintree Toyota. (781) 848-9300 this seems like a defect that needs looking at. Being thrown into neutral going 65 miles per hour as a response to an engine leaking oil is not ok. There should have been a warning not to drive.

I received the recall notice and to prevent an accident, I have not been driving my car. My nearest dealship, whom I have utilized often, now are discriminating by stating false personal statements against me. This may be gender, age or racist based. So I need support to have my car towed & have hamer Toyota fairly & professionally complete the safety recall repairs. I have been at the dealship and on the phone with all levels of employees who have belittled, made false statements and/ or just plain inhumane with no remedy for my 2013 Toyota Prius.

Please reference the los angeles times article of April 14, 2019: "after second recall, Toyota Prius electrical system is still overheating". my car has had the software updates, but is apparently still unsafe to drive. I am terrified that I could experience a "limp-home" situation while traveling at high speed on the local freeways. I am requesting that the NHTSA aggressively pursue Toyota to recall the affected cars and completely fix the problem by replacing the inverters.

I put this car into service January 1, 2014. I drove 150,000 miles changing my oil religiously as recommended. I had never burned a drop of oil prior to this. Then all of a sudden I started burning a quart every 2000 miles. After looking at Toyota forums this seems to be a common problem.

Engine warning light at start up came on with no degradation of operation. Car was taken to originating manufacture dealer for diagnosis. When car was purchased as certified pre-owned the sales rep upsold extended 3rd party warranty coverage that they said 'would cover everything including diagnosis labor fees.' When vehicle was diagnosed from dealer service dept they said it was faulty O2 sensor, caused 'by rodent damage to cable'. no validation or evidence of this was provided; cable/parts not presented for inspection to customer. Customer was told lack of sensor would result in reduced gas milage. Customer asked about safety of vehicle and was told vehicle was safe to drive without part repair. Customer asked if repair was covered under warranty and was told that it was not. Customer declined repair at that time; customer was forced to pay ~$150 labor charge for inspection. Customer returned at a late time to complete repair. Again no evidence of part failure was presented and repair cost ~$400 was forced to be paid. Customer then found extended warranty coverage documents and called them to ask why repair was not covered as program documentation and contract seemed to include coverage of this issue; provider noted that dealer did not call to authorize repair at no cost to customer and customer should submit paperwork to provider for review. Customer further researched on internet the issue and found multiple reports of faulty wiring and is concerned for safety of operation due to manufacture material flaws that allow animal damage to critical wiring of car.

The rented 2013 Toyota Prius with one passenger and the driver, pulled into a diagonal parking space in front of a strip mall store. Traveling at maybe 5 mph to park, the car's brake pedal gave way and hit the floor flat, providing no braking at all. The car kept rolling toward the corner of the brick building. The car then suddenly surged ahead, smashing into the corner of the entry to the brick building at such a sudden force that the doors to the building were wedged shut. After emergency vehicle took the driver and passenger to the hospital, the policeman on the job, as well as the wrecker service that came to extract the vehicle, could not move the car because there were no brakes, as stated in the police report. The wrecker driver could not load the vehicle to tow using the car's power because there were no brakes. No airbags deployed, but the condition of the corner shows damage that a vehicle moving faster than 5 mph would incur. The policeman came to the hospital to inform the driver that there indeed were no brakes on the car and the driver was not at fault - the vehicle's braking and acceleration systems had failed.

The dates I am not sure of it wouldn't let me continue with out putting in a date and the same for mileage and speed, I had my car updated by Toyota they said it was a voluntary recall, exactly after the update I now get10-15 miles less a gallon and my vehicle hesitates on acceleration 1-3 seconds, I have brought the car back 2 times and was told that they haven't heard of any complaints about problems after the update I left my car with them both times on a Friday and picked up on a Monday they said they recalibrated the computer the first time and it had better mileage until I filled up and reset the odometer and back to the less mileage again, 2nd time they said I needed a fuel system clean and another thing, I did them both and nothing again no change (they said it might improve my miles some ). I have been on social network site Prius chat etc. And others are experiencing the same thing and more I feel like im gettinga run around with them (Toyota) it has cost me almost $500 to get no where, and the loss of miles is costly also I own a hybrid and feels like in driving a standard 4 cylinder, the acceleration delay started about a month ago im gonna bring it back for both problems and I expect to be told I need something else (tune up etc)that wont resolve my issue thank you

Collision: A collision never occurred with any object, based on the physical location, where the vehicle came to rest. I enclose three (3) photographs showing the condition of the car, the two right tires blown out, and the car having ground to a haltfrom the weight of vehicle as it sharply veered right into (not onto) the right hand shoulder of 101. I lost control after hearing a bang, but no airbag deployed, further proving there was no collision. Location: The officer reported the location of the incident being at the intersection of 101 and 18th street (where there also is an overpass): However, after comparing my photographs and the unique geographic features in the photos to google maps, I was able to correctly identify the crash site about 15-20 meters past the 22nd street pedestrian overpass, where the highway grade is uphill curving left; & signs say to reduce speed to from 55 to 50 mph approaching the top of potrero hill, near sf general hospital. There is no guard rail or sign posts to hit; only a soft shoulder (bordered by shrubbery) exists where I came to a halt: There was nothing (no objects) to collide with. (see attached) road condition: Very narrow shoulder: Maybe 5 feet. Pebbles rocks and dirt make up the shoulder, and slightly affected the car's direction, but primarily caused damage, pulling off the read bumper, scratching the body throughout, and causing the front right wheel to collapse like a beer can, after the front right, then the rear right tire blew out. I attempted to push the car, at my own risk from the right lane, but it felt as if all four brakes had seized, so I could not budge the vehicle so much as 1/10th of a millimeter, with all my weight and strength.

While slowing down for a red light the car's electronics made a beeping noise, all the dash lights came on, the gas gauge displayed a rapidly dropping quantity, then went back up to half full. A red triangle was displayed on the dash during this time. During this time, the car was completely disabled and unable to move and was sitting in the intersection. I tried multiple times to restart the car, the dash lights would come on, but the car wasn't actually running or responding to pedal inputs. After 7 minutes the car finally started back up and I was able to drive to the dealership. I left the car's engine running (ev mode while parked) and they hooked it up to the computer. They said everything was fine and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. This has happened before, and it happened again, two days after the dealership gave me my car back (they kept it that weekend).
