plastic seal around doors detaching from vehicle

The rubber that's detaching doesn't even use glue to hold it. It's supposed to clamp on, but unfortunately after opening and closing the door over the years it's starts detaching. Instead of wasting hundreds of dollars on Chrysler's trash, I decided to buy Super Glue, I applied it inside the rubber, AND IT WORKED!

The plastic trim around the doors, windows are coming off causing air leaking. I took my car in for maintenance and asked if they could reattach the plastic. It isn't worn just lookled like it came undone/unglued. They told me I would have to replace the whole plastic around the doors. This van stays in the garage, not exposed to sun. The car is 4 years old and only 46K miles. I have a car that is 10 years old volvo and the plastic around the window is still intact at 100k miles. So why would I pay 345.00 for a piece of plastic that should not be coming detached. The chrysler garage foreman had no comment. Shame on you chrysler for not standing up for your products.
