My mechanic told me this is a common problem and Ford is well aware of it. He has the same problem with his later model Ford Explorer. My beef is: if Ford knows this is a common problem why don't they do a recall and fix the problem. This totally sucks... it's summer time, can't get air conditioner to cut on because the blend door in locked in, so all I get is heat.
