cruise control on/off buttons have melted off, I found a recall NCTSA #09V399000 Speed Control Deactivation Switch, which can leak internally, overheat, smoke, and burn. I spoke to the ford service mgr, locally, he said the recall would add a fused wiring harness in line with the SCDS, he said he had never seen or heard of the buttons melting, seems to me it's all associated with the same harness, how could it not be caused by this?
